Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)
Custom Website Development and UX/UI for Multi-Year Public Health Program
The CDC sought to identify and recognize health care providers that have prioritized hypertension control achieving a healthy blood pressure reading for at least 80% of their patient population. Identifying health care providers and gathering standardized data from them proved to be difficult given security requirements and disparate databases.
Since 2015, Ensemble team members have worked with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to launch and administer the Hypertension Control Challenge program to make controlling high blood pressure a national priority. A custom, 508 compliant website was designed, built, and hosted with vanity URL. The responsive, public facing website has been maintained and developed further over the past 3 rounds of the program. Notable features include a custom data export that integrates with CDC partner data systems and a user-friendly contest submission form with custom design and data fields that enable the identification of Hypertension Control Champions.
